Can I Go to Bed Now?

I haven't posted in awhile, and instead of actually taking the time and effort to put together a well-thought-out, highly insightful posting, I think I'll just list some facts:

- I went to Ames, IA for three days last week and managed in that time to successfully forget over $200 worth of electronics.  Thankfully, they were all found and shipped to me by the wonderful folks at Iowa State University.  (Go Cyclones!)

- Kris and I recently harvested 70 pounds of tomatoes.  They are now converted to 12.5 quarts of tomato sauce.  It took about 10 hours of washing, slicing, cooking, stirring, blending, straining, and boiling.  Too bad it doesn't taste much better than Heinz or Prego.  But it was fun!!!

- Last week I pulled two all-nighters trying to finish off programming my church's new student month database before the students all decended on campus.  I don't think I'll do that again.

- I've recently re-discovered the joys of the original Nintendo Entertainment System.  Kris had an old, barely functional one that I was able to take apart and fix, with the help of a web site on NES Repair.  I didn't even have to buy a new 72-pin connector.  I just took a jeweler's screwdriver and pried each of the 72 pins slightly upwards so that they make connection with the game cart.  Then, I gave all the moldy games a good cleaning with a soap solution, and everything was as good as new.  Ah, Dr. Mario.... ;)

That's all for now.  Later.
